HALLSWORTH WINES

Hallsworth is an old English name meaning old estate or farm. It tells the story to mind finding land, starting a homestead and working the land from generation to generation to build something great.

This is also the story of Reward Wines, started when Lesley McGillivray planted two test rows of Italian grape varieties on the rich volcanic soil near the foothills of Mt Franklin and began Mt Franklin Estate. With family and friends’ support, she expanded the plantation and her son Scott McGillivray has been taking care of wine making, production and marketing ever since. Scott established Reward Wines to grow his wine journey further. The collection of elegant and sophisticated wines under the Hallsworth Wines brand are our tribute to this journey.
